The SCTE’s annual Gala Awards Dinner & Dance, the highlight of the Society’s social calendar, will return to the Old Palace at Hatfield House in Hertfordshire (UK) on Saturday 29 June 2019. Hatfield House, built in 1611, is a celebrated Jacobean house standing majestically in its own Great Park. The Old Palace, which was built at the earlier time of 1497, was once owned by Henry VIII, father of Elizabeth I, who used it as a home for his children and it was while she was living at the Old Palace in 1558, that Elizabeth learned of her accession to the throne.
Following its very successful Gala Dinner on the SS Rotterdam on the 70th anniversary of the SCTE, SCTE’s Benelux Group has selected the luxury ship again as the venue for its 2019 Annual Dinner on 9 February 2019. Hotel accommodation is on board for those who wish to stay the night.
